FuzzSwap

For pedal sellers & modders

Sell guitar pedals, and get paid for your mods

Stock pedals, boutique builds, and the Tube Screamer you put three evenings of soldering into. FuzzSwap is being built to give every pedal a fair shot, and to price your mods instead of ignoring them. Everything below is planned for launch.

The Mod Sheet

Generic price guides price a modded pedal like a stock one. The Mod Sheet records what you changed, so buyers can see it and the estimate can price it.

What changed
e.g. clipping diodes swapped to LEDs, true-bypass footswitch, added mid knob
Parts & values
Part numbers and values, so buyers and techs know exactly what's inside
Who did it & when
You, a named builder or a shop, with the date
Reversible?
Whether it can go back to stock, and whether the original parts are included
Proof
Gut shots, receipts and an optional before/after clip
Parts + labor
Itemized cost and hours that feed the mod-aware price estimate

Buyers who play your kind of music

Buyers pick their sound (rock, metal, indie, shoegaze, doom, blues and more) and see the gear that fits first. A fuzz built for doom reaches doom players; a clean boost reaches country pickers. There's always an “outside your lane” shelf and a sort that ignores genres, and ranking never depends on payment.

Fees that drop as you sell

Start at 5% (4% for the first 100 founding sellers), then 3%, 2% and 1% as you complete sales, keep a clean record and ship on time. Card processing is passed through at cost. See seller fees or compare in the fee calculator.

Offers on your terms

Turn offers off, keep them standard, or make them binding so accepted means paid. Set a floor and auto-accept, and every other policy, per pedal.

Selling pedals FAQ

What's the best place to sell a modded guitar pedal?

FuzzSwap is built for it: a Mod Sheet documents each mod with parts, labor and proof, and the price estimate itemizes what the mods add instead of treating your pedal like a stock unit.

How should I price a modded pedal?

Start from what the stock pedal sells for in similar condition, then add the documented value of the mods: parts cost, skilled labor and the builder's reputation. Reversible mods with original parts included tend to reassure buyers. The Mod Sheet shows buyers that breakdown line by line.

What does it cost to sell a pedal?

FuzzSwap's planned fees: a 5% platform fee for new sellers (4% for founding sellers), falling to 1% the longer you sell here and the more you ship on time, plus card processing at cost (2.9% + $0.30). On a $150 pedal at 4% that's $6.00 + $4.65 = $10.65.

Do buyers see my pedal if they play a different genre?

Yes. Discovery leads with each buyer's sound, but there's always an 'outside your lane' shelf and a sort that ignores genres, so no listing is hidden from anyone. Nobody can pay to rank above you.

Can I require binding offers on my pedals?

Yes. Offers are a per-listing choice: off, standard or binding. Binding means the buyer's card is held when they offer and charged when you accept.

Save a founding seller spot for your pedals

The first 100 sellers start at the Trusted tier: a 4% platform fee instead of 5%, plus card processing at cost. Sellers who verify their Reverb shop and import their history start at 4% too. Buyers can join early access to hear when we open.
